Care Instructions and Warranty
Thank you for choosing TuffSkin to protect your stone surfaces. Here you will find all the information you need about care and warranty to ensure a long and trouble-free lifespan for your surface protection.

Care Instructions

Cleaning

Cleaning TuffSkin is easy. Use a soft microfiber cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner (e.g., soapy water or regular window cleaner). Never use abrasive products such as scouring powder, steel wool, or sharp objects like razors on the surface.

How to extend the lifespan

TuffSkin is extremely durable, but to keep the surface in like-new condition, we recommend the following:

  • Use a cutting board:
Avoid cutting or chopping directly on the protected surface.
  • Use coasters and pads:
Place felt pads under heavy or sharp decorative items. Use glass and pot coasters to prevent unnecessary wear.
  • Handle ceramics with care:
The bottoms of ceramic dishes and plates can be rough and may cause scratches if handled carelessly.

Important Information About Removal

Do not attempt to remove the protective film yourself.

TuffSkin is designed to stay firmly in place. Damage caused by picking at or tearing off the film is not covered by the warranty.

TuffSkin must only be removed by a certified technician.

If anyone else removes the film, the warranty becomes void, and that person is responsible for any potential damage to the stone.

Warranty Claims

If you believe the product has a defect covered by the warranty, a claim should be submitted via the TuffSkin website (Note: This process is unclear—please review the entire page carefully). The claim must include a copy of the original invoice and photos clearly showing the issue. If the defect is approved under the warranty, we will remove the defective film and replace it with a new one at no cost. For projects located far outside our normal service areas, travel expenses for the technician may apply.
